Fun at Lava Hot Springs

Cheryl visited us during her spring break. While she was here we went to Lava Hot Springs. We all had a lot of fun.

The naked egg

So I found this experiment on Pinterest called how to make a naked egg. Basically you take a egg and put it in a jar filled with vinegar. The vinegar dissolves the shell leaving just the membrain. So cool looking. It takes about 2-4 day soaking in the vinegar to dissolves the shell.

Here's what the naked egg looks like compared to a normal egg. It is twice the size.

We also read that you can dye the egg by simply putting food coloring in the vinegar.It not only turns the outside of the egg green, but also the egg whites.

And this is proof that the egg white were in fact dyed green. Oddly enough the yolk is still yellow.Here is the site we found this on.
